Thanks for all the congratulations and well wishes. Things are going well. I feel nauseous almost all the time but I've only gotten sick a couple times. I'm now into week 11 and can't wait to hear the heartbeat or find out if it's a girl or a boy.

As I said in the comments we do have some girls names picked out but are lacking boys names. We're looking for something different but not too unusual. I've already started showing. Well I suppose not to people that don't know me but to anyone that sees me often you can tell. I've had to buy some maternity clothes already since my other pants are much too tight for me.

I'm trying to be better with updating the blog but I'm afraid it's going to turn into somewhat of a Mommy blog. I don't have a whole lot else going on right now. I also haven't had a lot of time to get online. I'll try posting some pics in flickr in the near future of my baby bump and of course me and Mr. IT.

Names I would not name a child...Mortimer, Wendell, Oliver, or Sue...Picking names is not an overnight job...It takes time and careful consideration. What goes with IT? Mr.T or I for short. How about a nice ethnic name? What is Hebrew for "Oh! my Gosh what a surprise." No matter what name you choose, I'm sure "He or She" will bring much Joy to both your lives. Best of EVERYTHING TO ALL OF YOU...HOW ABOUT USING A BLOG NAME LIKE>>LITTLE DINK?

Hope you don't get too much morning sickness! And I'll be looking forward to seeing pictures!

Names, names, names! Boys are tough, maybe you'll have a girl. lol. Are you willing to share the names you like so far? It's cool if you aren't, I know some people like to keep that all hush hush. And I'm guessing by this post that you're going to find out the sex before the birth? That's my plan, I'd rather know and get ready for it. I mean, it's a surprise no matter what day you find out, whether it's in the delivery room or a few months into the pregnancy, that's my point of view anyway.

I'll try to find some good boys names for you. I tend to like semi-traditional ones, so I might not be helpful for "slightly unusual".

Although one that I've heard a few times lately is "Caden" (pronounced Cay-den; I'm not sure of the spelling I bet there are a few ways to spell it). Hmm... how unusual do you want it? lol. I'll be back though with a list for you, I promise!

I'm back. I went searching for "slightly unusual" names. LOL. Here's a boy name list (god procrastination is way too fun... LOL).

Caden
Carter
Sawyer
Julian
Callum
Liam
Noah
Aiden
Braden/Braeden
Cole
Finley
Keagen/Keegan/Keagan
Blake
Hunter

Thar you go! lol. Just a few ideas to get your boys-name-mind workin'. Some of those aren't super "unusual" but they aren't as classic as like... Jonathan or something. lol. (I like Aiden, Noah, and Liam quite a bit).

Now I have a paper to finish... LOL.

Thanks for the list Stephie!

The only boys name we both like but aren't sold on is Jayden. One reason we aren't sold on it is because there are a lot of babies being named Hayden, Aiden and Kaden. I like the name Isaac but haven't mentioned that one to him yet. It's a nice older name that isn't used much now. I also like Liam but I know two people with kids named Liam. lol Same with Braeden and Hunter. I do like the name Noah...

The girls names are easier and the one that we'll probably go with is one that we sort of came up with ourselves. It's from a name my Dad used to call me growing up.

The only other thing we can't agree on is whether the baby will have my last name or his when it's born.

Noah is a super cute name, I really like it. And actually I like Isaac, that's cute too. Old fashioned names are coming back in style, which is pretty cool. (How about Max? I know the cutest kid named Max at the daycare I work at, haha).

Hmm. Yeah, that last name thing is probably tough to decide on. Good luck with all your decisions! You have plenty of time to worry about this stuff. :-)

Noah is a great name. Not too crazy about Jayden, only because I know two people who've named their kid that - especially since Wil and Jada Smith named their son that. Even though he's a complete cutie-pie.

Julian is a gorgeous name, but (IMO) too close to a girl's name. You don't want a sissy-boy. Still like the name Vincent (and the shortened name Vince) and Nathaniel/Nathan.

Steph's right - lots of older names are coming back, too. Joshua is a good name. I also like the name Keith.

Pleas no Liam. I'll have to think of Angel every time we talk about him, and it would just be wrong. Too depressing. LOL.

Logan's a nice name, but I don't like the meaning (hollow).

Nicholas? I like that name, too.

I think I should stop looking at the baby name website at work, or people will start to talk . . .

Hahaha... I wasn't even thinking of the Liam/Angel thing. LMAO. I was trying hard not to pick "Buffyverse" names too, LOL.

I like Nathan/Nathaniel too, Callie! Mostly for the nickname "Nate", I think it's cute.

And yeah... I'm not that big of a fan of the name Jayden myself, but to each their own! :-)

Mr. IT doesn't like Noah... Too biblical he says. I like the name Nicholas... my younger brother is named Keith so that one's out. I suggested the name Christian. Although if Noah is too biblical I'm thinking he isn't going to like Christian lol

I think I'll suggest Joshua too... I like that one.

:) thanks guys!

It's ok if your blog turns into a "mommy blog", I think. As long as you keep posting I don't think it matters.

Keep yourself happy.

Oh, and good luck with the morning sickness. Although I've heard it's more like "all day long" sickness.

Fun.

For some people, it's all day sickness. For me, I wasn't ever sick. Just lucky, I guess.

*ducks before Dani can hit me*

Joshua is technically biblical too, really. LOL. A lot of names are. Nicholas is a really good name.

I was going to list boys names that are in my family to see if there were any names you hadn't thought of in there... but man oh man are they ever traditional names. LOL. We don't have any "unusual" names in our family! I'll list them anyway! LOL. We can laugh at how "normal" my family is. lol.

Brian, Matthew, Michael, Scott, Colin, Jesse, Bradley, James, Benjamin, Thomas, Andrew, Cameron

Those are my male cousins. Such "normal" names. LOL.

Too bad Mr. IT didn't like Noah, that name is so damn cute. And reminds me of Ryan Gosling's character in The Notebook (super romantic Noah Calhoun!).

Oh hey, can you re-add me to MSN? I changed email addresses... add s.m.greer@hotmail.com. :-)

Oh, and you should name your daughter Danika (or Danica). Since it totally is a real name. :P It means "he morning star", how cute is that? Did you know it meant that? Where did you come up with Danika from name again?

Gah, triple comments. LOL.

The meaning of Danika is "THE morning star" not "HE morning star", I must have missed the T. haha.

That's all the comments from me for tonight, I promise...

I already suggested Danika... He didn't want that one lol I can't remember how I thought of it but I really thought I made it up until I found out it was an actual name... lol I must have heard it somewhere and it stuck in the back of my mind.

One of the names you listed from your family is Mr.ITs name and one of them is my brothers name lol.

I told him he had to stop shooting down the names I suggest since he isn't coming up with suggestions lol

I still have your new email address... I changed it in my contacts but I haven't been on msn in forever so haven't added you there yet lol I will though soon as I get online.

I WAS WONDERING WHY CALLI HAD NOT BEEN BLOGGING..FOUND OUT SHE IS OVER HERE AT THE MOM BLOG PICKING OUT BABY NAMES...WHEN DO YOU LADIES START TALKING ABOUT BABY POOH? IT IS A TRADITION AROUND HERE. AS A GRAND PA I GET TO MAKE FUN OF THIS STUFF NOW. IF THE BABY IS A BOY, YOU CAN GET IT TO BUY HIM ONE OF THOSE BEER TOSSING REFRIGS FROM GA. IF A GIRL..? WHAT DO YOU BUY A GIRL...A BEER TOSSING REFRIG OF COURSE. I AM ACTUALLY LAUGHING AT THIS BECAUSE THIS IS PART OF THE MOTHERING THING. I WATCHED MO AND THE GIRLS GO THROUGH THE SAME THING...TARA JUST HAD A FRIEND BUILD A BED FOR DELANEY, THE BABY NAME SHE LIKES HAS NOT BEEN FIRMED UP YET. SO SHE IS GOING THROUGH THE SAME THING. SCOTT JUST PAINTED THE NEW NURSERY AND THEY ARE FURNISHING IT NOW. DELANEY'S ROOM IS PINK, WITH ELEPHANTS (SOUNDS LIKE A HANGOVER), THE NEW NURSERY IS PURPLE, BUT NO ANIMALS YET, THEY COULD ALWAYS PUT BARNEY THE DINOSAUR IN THERE. WELL IT IS SUNRISE SO I MUST LEAVE...SORRY ABOUT THE MORNING SICKNESS THING..THAT IS WHY I'M REALLY GETTING OUT OF HERE..I HATE WATCHING THAT PART OF THE ROUTINE. TAKE CARE KID...AND I AGREE WITH YOU DANI..IF HE ISN'T HELPING PICK THE NAMES...SHUT UP! ONE PIECE OF ADVICE FROM ME..EVERYBODY HATES SOMEBODY ELSE NAME...PICK THE NAME THAT YOU LIKE AND FITS THE CHILD...JUST NOT SUE..I LIKE SEAN, BRENDON, BRIAN, ISSAC, ZACARY (zack), IRISH ROOTS I MIGHT ADD. IF "MR.IT" DOESN'T LIKE BIBLICAL NAMES, WE CAN CHANGE HIS HANDLE FROM "IT" TO "AC". DO THE MATH DARLIN...anti-C*****! JASON? LAST NAME..SWEETIE, YOU HAVE TO WORK THAT ONE OUT...SHE WILL BE BEAUTIFUL NO MATTER WHAT, IF A BOY..HANDSOME AND RUGGED...CANADIAN THINGY...JUST POUR ALL THE LOVE YOU GOT INTO YOUR CHILD AND THE NAME WILL BE LIKE HONEY OFF YOUR LIPS...BYE

Congrats :-) I've been a reader for awhile, but I don't think I've ever commented. I'm in Calgary btw and I found you via Mossy who found you via Larry and Mossy blogs because I did.. hows that for convoluted? ;-)

ANNNNNYWAYS... Danika was a name my daughter Presleigh was going to get, after Danica Patrick the IRL driver and it is a very 'harsh' name for a baby.

My 10 cents on boys names ... if Presleigh had been a boy, she would have been Ian Jeremy James. I also heard a very cool, but very 'goth' name for a boy.. Draven. I thought it was rather unique but definately a strong boy name.

Oh and as far as last names go. Just my thoughts having dealt with the same issue. It is easier to change to dad's name later on than it is to change back to yours later if needed/wanted. As long as Dad signs the birth certificate, the name change is very simple.

Come visit us @ http://presleigh.blogspot.com for Misses P's and my ranting is http://justtheotherday.blogspot.com

Good luck!

Nice to 'meet' you Kristin. I kinda like the name Draven... I think I'll suggest it.

I told Mr. IT the same thing about the last name. I told him that he would be on the birth certificate so it won't make it any harder to change the babies name to his. I think using both our names is the best compromise. Neither of us is totally happy with it but it's better than one of us being very upset.

I'll definitely stop by your blogs soon as I get the chance.
