Still no closer to picking out a boys name but we did go look at baby things for the nursery today. It's pretty much decided we're going for a darker wood and the theme will be safari/jungle. His Mom has already told us that she's buying all the big things for the baby room like the crib and change table. So we just tell her what type of wood and theme and she'll get it all. My Dad has said he's buying the highchair and will help with painting and putting up the boarder in the room. I think it's a good choice since it works for when it's a baby as well as when it's a toddler.

We've come to an agreement about the last name as well. It's going to have both of our names until we're married... then we'll drop my last name.

I told him that if he doesn't start giving boys names I was going to choose whichever one I want so hopefully that will get him thinking.

Pictures of the two of us are up on flickr. I don't have any of the baby bump yet. He has taken pictures almost weekly since we found out... I just have to get him to email them to me and I'll add them.

You also need to register for baby stuff online so we can all buy you stuff, and it will get to you!!!

Callie's plan is a cool one.

I actually wrote you a long-ass message last night, but then my internet was all wonky and it wouldn't post!!!!! DAMN, I say!

The gist is that I think it's a great idea about the last names and SQUEE for the "M" word; I wasn't sure what your plans were that way, and being a fairly new-age gal who doesn't care either way about out-of-wedlock babies I didn't think it necessary to ask. But that's so exciting for you, so congrats on all this wonderful stuff that's going on!

And if Mr. IT is "guy whose name starts with A" from your pictures (I'm not sure you want me to say his name here.. but you did use names in your Flickr.. haha, I'm just trying to be safe, LOL). Anyway... if he's THAT guy, he's pretty damn hot, so go you!!! If he's not that guy, I don't know what you were doing on New Years Eve with a random, and I still maintain he's a hottie. ;) hahaha.

Love you Danikins, hope you don't get too much morning sickness! Talk to you soon!

Holy crap, Dani! I go away for a bit, and you're going to be a mom?? How fantastic is that?? I'm sure I'm the last to say it, but CONGRATULATIONS!!! :)

And my only advice on the name thing is not to tell anyone what you guys decide on -- people are all too willing to offer their opinions and then you end up with doubts.

I wish you a very happy and healthy pregnancy, and can't wait to read posts about your experiences.

When we went looking for baby stuff I was thinking about the baby register. I'm not sure where to register... probably Toys R Us (if I can register there). I'm sort of waiting to find out what it is before I register I think.

:) we've talked about getting married but I want to wait until after the baby is born. So it'll probably be a year or two before we do.

Yup Mr.IT is the one in the pictures. I try not to use names here at least not boyfriends names... I figure since it seems he'll be around for a while it doesn't hurt to have his name in flickr. :)

Thanks Dirty Gypsy!!! :)

You'll want to register where they have the most stuff. I registered at Target when I was pregnant. I think you can register at Babies R Us. In fact, I'm sure of it. Personally, I would register everywhere. That way, people have a choice, and you can pick out different things at different stores. It's always fun deciding what you want to put on your wish list. I think that was the most fun I had during my pregnancy. LOL

Yep you can register at Babies R Us. I'd recommend WalMart too. I think Sears has a baby registry as well.

You need to get a baby ticker too for your blog! :-)

Congrats on getting engaged. How about "Max" for a name? Or "Sam"?

We're not engaged Chris... we just talked about it. I don't mind Sam or Max but I think they're more plain than we want.

I'll definitely email you Kristin... I must have missed the comment where you said that... that's why I haven't yet.

I think we will sign up at Sears and Walmart... definitely at Baby's R Us. We are still sort of deciding what stuff we want and for his parents to let us know what they are getting so we don't add it to the registry. :)
